What is the "Reggio Emilia" Philosophy?

Reggio Emilia is an innovative and inspiring approach to early childhood education which values the child as strong, capable and resilient; rich with wonder and knowledge. It is experienced-based, play-based, and child-led learning. A focus on creating experiences for students to learn through doing something active rather than learning through listening or watching. Educational environments are  staged to ensure children are exposed to a multitude of learning opportunities and materials as they choose their own play explorations.
